Soar

For this particular artwork, I was interested in capturing the essence of the phoenix's majestic flight and translating it into a tangible piece of art. The soaring bird, with its outstretched wings and graceful form, became the focal point of the lightbox. I wanted to convey a sense of liberation, strength, and the indomitable spirit that the phoenix embodies.

The intricate details within the papercut layers were meticulously carved to showcase the phoenix's feathers, capturing their delicate beauty and ethereal quality. I aimed to infuse the artwork with a sense of movement and dynamism, as if the phoenix were in mid-flight, ready to embrace the infinite possibilities that lie ahead.
